“Bog” Post

I have not been a fan of the word “Blog”.  Anyone else feel the same way? So…this is a “Bog Post”.  Yesterday was the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S.A.  The Cranberry is thought of as a Northeastern crop.  I spent time in the state of Washington, U.S.A. this past summer.  The state’s coastal regions have areas that support the Cranberry crop that grow in Bogs.  I almost fell into the Bog inspecting the plants while plucking a berry to taste raw.  Ocean Spray has a processing plant in Grayland, WA who process the Co-op harvest.  Some Cranberry farmers sell their crops to other processors for use in dried Cranberry products.  Everyone who live in climates that experience drought conditions will appreciate the berry more knowing it requires a tremendous amount of water to thrive.  The word for today is “Bog”.  Feel free to contribute to today’s “Bog” post.
